Matt Smith from Navistar is our speaker. As part of Navistars' Certification and Compliance Dept. since 2006, Matt has been responsible for all CARB and USEPA certification activities for Hybrid and Electric vehicles. Matt has over 20 years experience in the area of mobile and stationary source environmental research with the USEPA, CARB, and SCAQMD. He is a graduate of the UC Davis MS Eng, and BS ME & MAt Sci.
Topic: The history of vehicle emission regulations is covered from the 1970's to the present with an eye to the future and the impacts of GHG regulations. What can we expect to see in the future and what are the technical and regulatory obstacles that must be overcome.
