May Chapter Meeting

Please join us for our May meeting. We will conduct chapter business and have a presentation from Gage Consulting Engineers.

Speakers:
Steve Nargang, P.E., Vice President Gage Consulting Engineers -
Steve Nargang has a combined 20 years of design, engineering, project management, technical sales and business development experience – with key background in mechanical engineering & technical consulting across a range of industries & applications. He leads the efforts towards overall growth of the firm - through increase of capabilities, expansion of technical services, and campaigns targeting larger & more diverse engineering projects. Steve is responsible for implementing the firm’s strategic and marketing plans, leading business development towards further growth of long-term client and partner relationships.
Education and Registration
Steve is a graduate of Illinois Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Illinois.

Bob (Zying) Chen, P.E., LEED AP BD+C, Senior Mechanical Engineer –

Bob Chen has been leading mechanical engineering & design projects for Gage Consulting Engineers since 2001.  Bob has a diverse engineering background including design responsibility for numerous projects in the educational, commercial and institutional areas.  In addition to engineering design, Bob has authored a number of CADD programs for the building design industry.

Education and Registration

Bob is a graduate of Tianjin University (China), and received a Master of Science degree from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio.  He is a registered engineer in the State of Illinois. Bob is a member of: American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), US Green Building Council (USGBC), and Microsoft Certified Professional.

 

Abstract:               Steve and Bob will be talking about engineering for a variety of building projects. They will specifically be discussing a recent building project that is LEED Gold certified.
